We are committed to training future change agents in rehabilitation and the health and social service professions who are dedicated to helping advance science, practice, and policy initiatives for families of people with disabilities across the lifespan. Training activities will be housed within the National Center on Family Support and integrated into the Center for Caregiving Research, Education, and Policy. We will strive to implement our training activities in a culture of diversity and inclusiveness and in a context that enables all to develop their fullest potential.
Our training program includes mentoring the next generation of researchers on family support through pre- and post-doctoral fellowships; a new family support track in Pitt’s geriatric certificate program for clinicians and graduate students; and professional development and continuing education series.
